The fine print
The simple agreement between you and InTheMude when you play our browser games for couples. We've kept it plain. The headline rules: this is an 18+ space, you treat it kindly, and you can cancel whenever you like.
InTheMude is a hosted catalog of browser-based games made for couples to play together. By creating an account, starting a free trial, or otherwise using the site at inthemude.com, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy and Content Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
InTheMude is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if that is higher) to use the service. The games are intended for a mature audience and may include suggestive, date-night themes. By using the site you confirm you meet this age requirement. We may ask you to confirm your age, and we may suspend access where we reasonably believe this requirement isn't met.
InTheMude lets you open a game on a screen you share — a TV, laptop, or tablet — while each of you joins from a phone by sharing a link or scanning a code. Everything runs in a standard web browser; there is no app to install and nothing to download. Each game lets you pick your vibe — sweet, spicy, or anywhere in between.
You can try a game with no account. To unlock the full catalog you create an account with an email and password. You're responsible for keeping your login details private and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has gained access. One account is meant for one couple's personal use, not for sharing publicly or reselling.
One subscription unlocks the whole catalog. We offer two plans:
Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period using your saved payment method, at the then-current price, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation stops future renewals and your access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for. Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable. Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor; we don't store full card numbers ourselves.
You can play a free first round of a game without signing up. Free trials are offered as-is and may change or end at any time. As described in our Privacy Policy, trial sessions are intentionally temporary — your in-game answers are not saved, on our servers or in your browser.
We want this to stay a warm, respectful space. When you use InTheMude, you agree not to:

The personal things you say to each other during a game are yours. By design, we don't keep them: as set out in our Privacy Policy, in-game answers are not saved on our servers by default. We keep your account, not your answers. Anything you choose to save — like a recap — is generated as a file you download to your own device, not stored by us.
The games, software, text, artwork, narration, the InTheMude name, and the look and feel of the site are owned by InTheMude or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and play the games for your own private enjoyment while your account is in good standing. You may not copy, sell, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our written permission.
We add new games and improve existing ones over time, and we may change, pause, or retire features or individual games. We aim to keep the service running smoothly but can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update these terms from time to time; if we make a material change we'll take reasonable steps to let you know, and continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
You can stop using InTheMude and cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that we're required to act on by law, or where keeping it open would create a real risk to other people or to the service. If we close your account other than for a breach, you keep access to paid time you've already purchased where it's reasonable to allow it.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that the service will meet your expectations, be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any game content will suit every couple. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, InTheMude and its team won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the service. Where liability can't be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the [NUMBER] months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING JURISDICTION — to be set by counsel], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located in [VENUE — to be set by counsel], unless a mandatory law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
